We strongly Condemn the Terrorist Attack on Worshipers in New Zealand!

A group of white extremists on Friday attacked mosques in New Zealand during Friday prayers and opened automatic fire on them, killing 49 people and injuring more in a tragedy that have not occured in New Zealand's history of this magnitude before.

Many of the victims of this heinous massacre have been fleeing from other countries to seek asylum from oppression, fear and terrorism. The perpetrator of the crime was found to belong to the ultra-righ white supremacist movement of New Zealand.

Following the massacre, political leaders, governments, states and political forces were quick to condemn the crime, some of which considered it to be terrorism, while right-wing parties did not appear to consider it as such, especially the statements made by US President Donald Trump.

Our party considers this armed attack on worshipers a terrible terrorist crime no less, its brutality and barbarism, than the crimes of political Islam that transformed the whole world into killing fields.

Our party sees the far right and fascist nationalism, led by figures such as Donald Trump, neo-fascist leaders in Europe and political Islam, who are encouraging the right-wing extremist movement against foreigners, non-white people and Muslims, and promoting hatred in preparation for such horrific crimes worldwide.

The Israeli attack and bombardment of innocent Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, replied by Hamas' rocket attacks on Israeli communities, is one aspect of this conflict between two barbarians worldwide and part of the escalation of the terrorist conflict between the far right and Islamic fascism.

Both Islamic terrorism and extreme right-wing terrorism are but two sides of the same coin and reflect the vicious capitalist system and the banckruptsy of its alternatives and the closing of its prospects on every level.

The civilized world, the global worker-communist, labor and egalitarian movement and the international humanist Left are all standing against these crimes and fighting against terrorism, barbarity, and all the centers that promote racism, fascism, hatred on the basis of skin color, religious affiliation, nationalistic, or sexual orientation or gender identities.

We in the Left worker Communist party of Iraq strongly condemn this heinous crime in the attack on Muslim worshipers in two mosques in New Zealand. As part of the worker communist groups, we struggle side by side with the Communist and Humanist Movement at the global and local levels and in Iraq to expose the religious, sectarian and nationalist hatred. We strongly defend the right to life and human freedom and dignity.
